Restaurant Review: Andina

OK, you guys. Sit down. Seriously. We have to talk about something.  You all know, just like I do, that sense memory can be an intensely powerful thing--a sound or a scent or the feel of a fabric can send you right back in time to the "scene of the crime," so to speak.  And twice now I've experienced the criminally good cuisine at Andina in Portland, a "novo-Peruvian" restaurant in the town's trendy (but somewhat treacherous for pedestrians) Pearl District. National Bourbon Day

Quick! While there are still about six minutes left in the day (that would be June 14)!  Grab that bottle of Knob Creek or Bulleit or Noah's Mill or Three Roses or Maker's Mark or, God forbid, Jim Beam and have yourself a shot or two of bourbon on the rocks--why, you ask?  Because it's National Bourbon Day, the day in which bourbon was allegedly invented by Rev. Elijah Craig in Bourbon County, Kentucky.  Whether or not the story is actually true, I don't care, though I will say that only a man of God could've invented the stuff.  Bottoms...
