My P90X Failure

It's now late September, and I've fallen off the wagon--somehow I got to roughly Day 35 of P90X, but I stopped.  And I was doing so well!  What happened?  I think there are a few reasons. Results were slow in coming. That's not to say they were nonexistent--because there certainly were physical changes (most notably I added an inch to each bicep--which I was very impressed with).  However, there was not the sort of dramatic change I expected to see, even "just" 30 days in (that's a third of the way through the program, by the way), when I compared...

P90X: Day 11 (Minus 1)

Time for an update... I'm now in my eleventh day of the P90X program (though I still have to do the Yoga X workout today, probably tonight after I get out of work and a late doctor's appointment). Largely, so far, I've been successful in keeping to the diet program as well as the workouts, with only a couple of hiccups here and there; Sunday, in particular, threw me off, as I was at the beach with friends most of the day, so my diet was not even close to being spot-on, plus I missed the workout.  Fortunately I got...

P90X: Day 1

So you want to jump on the P90X bandwagon? You might be a little surprised to learn that there's a fair amount of preparation that you'll need to do in advance before you play a single DVD and lift a solitary dumbbell.  That's the first thing that I discovered--I needed to order a small array of supplements and such (specifically, meal replacement bars, a "recovery drink," whey protein powder and--because I didn't buy the specific P90X formulas--a small container of creatine, not to mention adjustable dumbbells, a workout mat, and a digital food scale and heart monitor, which I forgot...
